Welcome to Year 5 Shakespeare, I am your class teacher Miss Ryan. In our amazing class we also have Mrs Farmer supporting the children with their learning. The adults in Shakespeare class work hard to ensure all the children are safe and happy at school. This year, we have amazing trips planned and learning opportunities that are fun, practical and engaging so that the children enjoy all their lessons and learn lots along the way! Summer 2

This half term, our learning will focus on Silk Mill. In English, we are exploring Literary Heritage through exploring Macbeth and delving into other forms of poetry. In Maths, we are solving problems linked with multiplication and division, as well as learning how to read and interpret timetables. In PE, we will continue with swimming every Wednesday and return to our tennis sessions. In French, we are learning about habitats and building our vocabulary to describe different environments and animals. In Science, we are learning about Animals Including Humans, exploring how humans and other animals grow, survive and stay healthy.

Please continue to read every day. Evidence shows that reading for just 15 minutes a day greatly influences children's progress as they continue through school. 

Daily reading, TT rockstars and spelling shed. Speech cup continues every Wednesday. Please practice with your child at home prior to the day they share with their class.
