Police visit

Donaldson class were very excited to meet the Police officers today who taught them all about their roles in the community. They were shown the equipment that they used, were able to wear parts of their uniforms and explored the Police van.

2D Shapes

Donaldson class enjoyed playing the Guess the shape game with their Talk partners. They were able to give a clue to their partner (property of a 2D shape) so that they could guess which shape was hidden.

World Book Day!

The children had a fun packed day, full of exciting activities! They decorated their classroom day after the class voted for their favourite story (majority voted The Gingerbread man), Year 3 shared stories with them, we played Guess the book and they were a read a story by another teacher for Teacher swap.

Children have been trying their best to write numbers to 10 and some have been writing numbers to 20 too! They have remembered the Number rhymes and have been doing really well.

Christmas Fair!

Children had a lovely time at the Christmas Fair. They were super excited and had lots of fun playing games, winning prizes and buying some amazing treats.

Ambition day

On this day the children learnt two new skills which were to bake and to use story sign language. They made banana muffins and used story sign language to retell the story, Owl babies.

They all enjoyed the day especially when they got to eat the banana muffins!

Donaldson class had a very good time Trick or Treating around the school.

They all looked lovely in their Halloween costumes!

Donaldson class have been trying very hard this week to form letters correctly. They have been practising all the phonemes we have learnt so far.

Donaldson class thoroughly enjoyed the Drama workshop where they imagined that they went into a hot air balloon and saw different countries. 

Welcome to Reception Donaldson Class!

I am your class teacher Mrs Soneji-Patel and our wonderful TA is Miss Baynes.

We are very excited to provide fantastic opportunities for all the children in Donaldson to grow and be the best that they can be. We will ensure to make learning fun and practical so that children enjoy their lessons and are happy to learn.

We will encourage children to have a positive mind-set so that they love learning, have a go and never give up!
