Morning all, we are all up and just about to set off to our last breakfast of the week at PW. All the children slept well and were a little harder to wake up this morning! All groups have 2 activities today before lunch and then home time.
Hi all, we have all really enjoyed our last full day at PW. We all learnt how to make camp fires, had s’mores and made bread on the fire. We had a fun evening on the field, dancing and playing games and we are all tucked up in bed for the last time. Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow x

Good morning everyone, the children are up, ready and excited for the day ahead. They all slept really well and had a bit of a lay in this morning. We have all had breakfast and now making our way to our first activities.
Tues eve update from Miss Jennings & Mr McMorrin:
Hi all, we have had another fantastic day at PW as we continue to take part in lots of different activities. Today included a nature trail, rock climbing, low ropes, crate stacking and human hungry hippos, as well as some of the activities mentioned yesterday. The sun is still shining and we are still smiling. To top off a fab day, Mrs Morley visited us after dinner this evening with a unexpected treat - Calippo ice lollies!

The children had a great first night and are enjoying a good breakfast ready for their first activity at 9am!
The children have had a fantastic first day at PW. We have just had dinner and are now having a bit of a chill out before our last activity of the day. We have taken part in a range of activities including spider mountain, archery, underground tunnelling, pedal bikes, cresta run, aeroball and absailing. The weather has been beautiful and it’s smiles all round for day 1.
All arrived safely and taking part in the first activity.

Our topic this term is Gallery Rebels, we will be learning about different artists and how their art has been influenced and influenced the world around them. During this topic, we will also focus on different areas of Europe and use maps to explore them.
In Science, we will be learning about classification in Living Things and their Habitat. This covers how animals are grouped together based on their characteristics. We will learn about different classification systems as well as performing experiments to understand microorganisms.
This term the children will take the SATs in May. We will be recapping all areas covered in English and Maths this year.
Homework is handed out on a Friday and should be returned on a Wednesday.
Autumn Term:
Our topic this term is World War Two, we will be covering a variety of different aspects of The Second World War including rationing, the impact of women, the causes of the war and key events the affected Britain.
In Science, we will be learning about Inheritance and Evolution. This covers how animals have adapted over time to suit their environments, predators and prey as well as how humans have developed.
In Computing, our focus is on creating websites and webpages on Google Classrooms.
Year 6 Glennie will be swimming on a Wednesday and Year 6 Elton will have Making My Footprint on a Thursday.
Homework is handed out on a Friday and should be returned on a Wednesday.

Welcome to 6 Elton. We hope you are all ready and excited for a fantastic year ahead. This term we are learning about the history of medicine, we will be covering the development and invention of medicine throughout history and be introduced to important figures like Galen, William Harvey and Da Vinci. In Science our topic is Animals including humans. We will be focusing on the circulatory system, eye and digestive system. We will be adding photos of all the exciting things we are doing this term as we go along so please keep an eye out. Lastly please remember our door is always open so if you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.

Welcome to 6 Glennie, we are named after an inspirational deaf percussionist called Evelyn Glennie. She was able to overcome the challenges she faced and become one of two laureates given the Polar Music Prize in 2015.
Our topic this term is The History of Medicine, we will be covering the development and invention of medicine throughout history and important figures like Da Vinci, who developed our understanding.
