This term in year 5 we are focusing our Geography learning on our local area. We will explore the  area focusing on changes and making comparisons with the past. In English, we will be exploring mystery and suspense stories, reading The Boy in the Tower. In our science topic we will be exploring animals including humans and looking at Sikhism in our RE lessons. We will learn all about different pets in our French lessons and we look forward to continuing with Tennis (5 Shakespeare) and swimming (5 Rosen) in our PE lessons. Finally, we are excited about our residential trip to Willow tree on 24th -26th May. 

This term we will be looking at the Tudors and investigating questions such as who was the real King Henry VIII, why did he have 6 wives and why was Queen Elizabeth so important in the Tudor period. We will be bringing our learning to life with an exciting visit to  one of King Henry VIII's homes - Hampton Court Palace! We will continue to have French lessons with a specialist French teacher where we will also be learning about the Tudors. In Science lessons we will be exploring Living things and their habitats. 5 Shakespeare will start their next set of swimming lessons and 5 Rosen will be having tennis lessons.
