Week 1 and 2 Summer term

Welcome to  Simmonds Class! So far this term we have enjoyed discovering all about Viking raids and why the Vikings wanted to come to Britain. We have found out how sound is made and we even saw the vibrations in the water this week when we used a tuning fork and a bowl of water in an experiment. We created some amazing pictures of Hindu deities and we have thought about different ways to solve any friendship problems. We love reading and our new class book- How to train your Dragon- is keeping us busy straight after lunch every day. This week we even heard the author, Cressida Cowell, reading some of it to us. We were excited to see how many books she has!

Welcome to  Hamilton Class! This term, we are learning about The Olympics as part of our whole school topic. So far we have learnt about what the host city Tokyo is like and have compared this to our capital city, London. We can't wait to learn more throughout the term! In science this half term, we are working scientifically. This means we get to organise and set up lots of fun experiments to answer different scientific questions. Furthermore, we have just started our new class novel How To Train Your Dragon and we can't wait to read more!

We will keep you updated as the half term goes on!
