Welcome to Year 3/4. Here is some information from Mrs Lawson.

Week 1 and 2 Summer term

Welcome to  Simmonds Class! So far this term we have enjoyed discovering all about Viking raids and why the Vikings wanted to come to Britain. We have found out how sound is made and we even saw the vibrations in the water this week when we used a tuning fork and a bowl of water in an experiment. We created some amazing pictures of Hindu deities and we have thought about different ways to solve any friendship problems. We love reading and our new class book- How to train your Dragon- is keeping us busy straight after lunch every day. This week we even heard the author, Cressida Cowell, reading some of it to us. We were excited to see how many books she has!

Welcome to  Hamilton Class! So far this term we have enjoyed discovering all about Viking raids and why the Vikings wanted to come to Britain. We have found out how sound is made and we even saw the vibrations in the water this week when we used a tuning fork and a bowl of water in an experiment. In RE we have been exploring Hinduism and different deities. In PSHE we have been looking at different relationships and using different problem solving techniques for resolving conflict. We have also been looking at internet safety and how we can keep ourselves safe online - we had so much fun being Internet Legends in ICT! We are currently reading Alice's Adventures in Wonderland which is making us laugh after lunch every day!

Welcome to Year 3/4 Holmes. My name is Mrs Kent and I am the class teacher. Please have a look at our pictures of our super learning.

From Year 3/4 Holmes: This half term we have started learning all about the Vikings. We thought they wore helmets with horns on but we have already learnt that this is untrue! Shocked! In Science, we have been learning about sound. Mrs Kent loved this lesson as we were allowed to use the musical instruments - it was very loud! Our class novel at the moment is 'Charlie Changes into a Chicken.' We should be finishing the book this week which we are upset about as it has made us laugh, smile and think about different emotions! This is a small insight into our learning at the moment. We will update you all again soon!
