Bookspree & St Albans
We were delighted to be awarded £500 by the Siobhan Dowd Trust to have a Bookspree. A group of children headed to the independent bookshop in St Albans to browse the incredible selection. As it was Remembrance Day we headed over to St Albans Abbey afterwards and walked round the grounds. We were thrilled to be able to look inside. We saw the stained glass windows, the decorative ceilings, the organ pipes and the beautiful wooden pulpits. We were even able to make brass rubbings and dress up as Roman soldiers!
