• Virtual author visit

  After being enchanted by the book Varjak Paw last year, this term Year 5 have been reading the sequel- Varjak Paw The Outlaw- as their class novel. As such, they were absolutely thrilled to be able to have a virtual author visit from SF Said this week. They enjoyed asking him many questions about his writing and his inspiration and were shocked to hear that the writing process can take many years from first draft to published book.

  

• Mummifying Fish

  As part of their Ancient Egypt topic, year 5 have been mummifying fish. After the cleansing and  preserving process, they made their own amulets and death masks.
